Overall, Wyndham Garden Lancaster receives positive feedback, particularly highlighting its cleanliness, friendly staff, and value. Many guests appreciate the attentive service and well-maintained property. However, recent reviews indicate issues with inconsistent front desk service and cleanliness concerns in some rooms.
When I booked my room, I asked for a quiet one. When I got there they positioned me right in front of the elevator that goes ding ding ding and the ice machine that goes crash crash crush and I immediately walked back down from the elevator and I said oh my God this is my worst nightmare because I have PTSD and I cannot handle it and plus I said I want to quiet room but they immediately apologize and put me in a suite. I feel really comfortable in this suite.. it faces the desert and is sooo quiet! Excellent customer service. I will use this place every time I come visit.
Loved my stay here! The hotel was clean, comfy, and had a great vibe. Everything was easy and smooth from check-in to check-out. Huge shoutout to Jackie — she was awesome! Super friendly, helpful, and really made us feel welcome. It’s people like her that make a stay memorable. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. Thanks, Jackie!
From the moment I arrived, the experience was outstanding. Genesis (Gen), Jackie, and Pam, along with the entire team, were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. Every interaction felt warm, intentional, and welcoming. The whole property was immaculate. The housekeeping team deserves special recognition—rooms, hallways, and common areas were spotless and thoughtfully maintained. When you walk through the sliding doors, the fresh, clean scent immediately sets the tone, and you can feel the pride and care in every detail. From the front desk to breakfast service, everything was handled with excellence. The hospitality felt like Disney level service with the warmth and consistency of Chick-fil-A. It felt like home, while also being a special experience that makes you want to stay longer. It’s clear management is very intentional about who they hire. This team doesn’t just work here they represent exactly what the brand stands for. Every encounter made me feel confident I made the right choice and was doing something good for myself by staying here. This entire team deserves recognition, raises, and consideration as brand ambassadors. I highly recommend staying here.
This is a great bargain. Very clean, awesome staff, everything up to date and in good condition. Good location and well lit parking. Tasty breakfast in the morning. Has a mini store. Would stay there again. Pam is amazing, made me feel at home and the world needs more Pams. Thanks for the great stay.
Wyndham hotel was very clean they provided breakfast and change the sheets daily. Great place to stay when you're traveling!
Our stay at Wyndham Gardens Lancaster, California was perfect. We were here for my husband to have a medical procedure like requested a bottom floor, which happened and I also explained if there was any way to get an early check in because of the prep he had to take before his procedure. Valerie at the front desk could not have been more accommodating, she listened to our needs and told us to go ahead and come in two hours early and she even waved the early check-in fee. We truly appreciated that and she didn’t have to but it was a big help. I noticed all of the hotel staff I passed in the hall greeted me warmly which I appreciate appreciated. We come to this area from time to time as we live over an hour away, and we will definitely be back here for sure! Thanks, Valerie and all the Wyndham staff for making our visit a breeze. PS the beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. Our dog Oakley enjoyed the accommodations as well
I had a really disappointing experience with one of the front desk attendants, Pam, during my recent stay. I arrived early around 1:00 PM and politely asked about an early check-in. Pam was nice at first and even offered me an upgraded room for checking in early, which I appreciated. She said the room wasn’t ready yet and asked me to return around 2:00 PM. I came back at 1:45 and waited until 2:00, but then she told me the card on file needed to be verified. The reservation was made with my mom’s card, so my mom came in person to show the card. After that, Pam suddenly said the room wouldn’t be ready until 3:00 PM and that she couldn’t give me a key yet. When I returned around 2:30 to check on the room, the story changed again. She told me the upgrade wasn’t available anymore because it was a two-bed room. When I asked what the difference was between a suite and a one-bed room, she told me, “You can go online and check it out,” instead of simply explaining it. That response came off as rude and dismissive, especially after all the waiting and back-and-forth. What really bothered me was that instead of taking responsibility for the confusion and mixed information, she turned the situation around on me as if I was the problem. I stayed calm and patient through most of it, but when I showed mild frustration—which is understandable after being told three different things—she became defensive and disrespectful. To make things worse, when I finally got to the room, it smelled foul—like animals and cigarette smoke—even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The hallway also had people actively painting, which made the entire floor smell unpleasant and feel unprepared for guests. Overall, it was not the kind of experience I expected from a Wyndham property. I was patient and polite throughout, but I left feeling disrespected and disappointed. I hope management looks into how guests are treated and ensures rooms are properly cleaned and ready before check-in.
Staff was rude and made me pee myself waiting to check in bc they were too worried about their dominos delivery. The one that was really rude loudly announced she couldn’t help me bc she was clocked out sitting in the open at a desk. I complained and they told me I was just having a bad day. She couldn’t tell me when the one clocked in would be back and they made me wait while trying to figure out their dominos coupon. I drove 14 hours to pee myself in the lobby.
The breakfast is good the pool and the room are well maintained and taken care of. The most impressive part of our stay was the staff. They have all made our stay absolutely fantastic. I do want to give a shout out to Daniel at the front desk. What an amazing, thoughtful individual. We had forgotten our key card at the front desk and not only was he attentive to our needs but we also had a great conversation about the area. He went above and beyond to take care of our needs and also very informational. Thank you Daniel for making our stay great!
This should have been a three day stay for me and my husband, but a motorcycle crash put my husband in my the hospital. I didn't know when he would get out and I was extremely upset about his condition. The staff at Wyndham Garden Inn we're so kind to me. Not only did they extend my reservation over and over, even when they were full, but they always had kind words and support for me. Jacqueline, a receptionist and front desk worker, really went out of her way to help, even taking to me in a personal way. He's wise words helped me though the traumatic days I was having. Without asking, she changed our room to a handicap room, on the day my husband was discharged from the hospital. I can't thank the staff enough for helping me through the rough times.
